Iram Ahmed
“I’m Iram, and I’m excited to join the AOC family as a student counsellor. I currently work in banking, and I’m in my second year at Staffordshire University, retraining as a counsellor.
Being a people person, I’m passionate about working with and supporting others, and I’m looking forward to working with a diverse range of clients at the AOC.
Outside of work, I’m an avid runner and finally completed my first marathon last year, an achievement I’ve very proud of. I have a love for travelling and adventure and try to get away as often as I can, with my favourite destination to date being Nepal; nothing can compete with the warmth and kindness of the people and the beauty of Mount Everest.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places around the world and meet new people from all walks of life. I love hearing their stories, as well as immersing myself in their culture and surroundings.
Travelling around the world wouldn’t be as enjoyable without being able to try the culinary delights other countries have to offer hence, my love for food is forever growing. Whilst I enjoy experiencing new tastes and trying new dishes from around the world, I’ll be the last to volunteer when it comes to cooking, as I’ll do anything to avoid being in the kitchen.
